Olivier Giroud admits he is thrilled to see Aaron Ramsey back in form for Arsenal as the Gunners look to continue their top-four bid.

The Wales international scored the opener in a man-of-the-match display as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners at Hull City last weekend.

Ramsey, 23, had been sidelined with a thigh injury he picked up on Boxing Day after a sparkling start to the season for the north Londoners.

And striker Giroud is thrilled to have the midfielder back in action ahead of Newcastle’s trip to Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

“We were waiting to get some players back so it’s always nice to see them back in good form,” said Giroud.

“Aaron is important right now, I think. [With] Mesut Ozil, we will need him again and maybe he will need another full game to feel pretty good on the pitch.

“But Aaron played a great game at Hull, he’s in amazing form, he’s in really efficient form in front of goal.

“We will need everyone from now until the end of the season and it’s good news for us.”
