Paulinho has challenged Tottenham Hotspur to win their remaining five Premier League games.

The north London have fallen away in the race for a top-four finish in recent weeks following heavy losses to rivals Chelsea and Liverpool.

With Tim Sherwood expected to leave White Hart Lane in the summer, the Tottenham squad are playing for their futures at the club.

And Paulinho, who joined Spurs in a £20m deal last summer, wants Tottenham to finish the season strongly, starting with a win against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

“It was most important to win against Sunderland for the confidence, we have another difficult game at West Brom and now we take that confidence into that game,” Paulinho told Tottenham’s website.

“We have to try to win our last five games. We have to stick together, to enjoy our football and then we can do it. We are strong together.”

Meanwhile, Sherwood confirmed Sandro is an injury doubt for Tottenham’s trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

“He’s done well to get back to training, but it’s too soon,” Sherwood said of Soldado.

“You can’t rush back a hamstring injury for fear that it will go again, so we’ll be cautious with him.”
