Pressure on Arsenal in top-four race, says Everton’s Seamus Coleman
Everton defender Seamus Coleman says all the pressure is on Arsenal ahead of their trip to Goodison Park
Seamus Coleman believes all the pressure is on Arsenal ahead of the Gunners’s trip to Goodison Park on Sunday.
Roberto Martinez’s men, who have played one game less than the Gunners can move to within a point of fourth-placed Arsenal if the Toffees win their fifth successive Premier League game.
We have got pressure in the changing room among ourselves that we want to perform well, but going into the game the pressure is on Arsenal
Arsenal have seen their title challenge fade away in recent weeks despite Arsene Wenger insisting that Arsenal still have an outside chance of winning the top-flight crown.
And Republic of Ireland international Coleman insisted Everton are under less pressure than the north London side, with the Toffees on course to secure their record points tally.
“I think all the pressure is on Arsenal really because they are expected to finish in the top four and were challenging for the league,” Coleman said.
“But we have got pressure in the changing room among ourselves that we want to perform well, but going into the game the pressure is on Arsenal.
“The way we have been playing there for over a year now means we are confident.”
