Rodgers gives latest Liverpool injury update ahead of Man City clash
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirms Daniel Agger has recovered from a knee injury to face Manchester City on Sunday

Brendan Rodgers says Daniel Agger will return to the Liverpool squad to face Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
The Denmark international missed the 2-1 victory over West Ham United at Upton Park last weekend due to a knee injury.

However, Rodgers confirmed that the Liverpool vice-captain has recovered from the problem, with Jose Enrique the only Reds absentee for the potential title decider.
“Everyone is fit. Daniel Agger is back in the squad. Only Jose Enrique is out. I’ve 20 players fit and raring to go,” Rodgers told his pre-match media conference at Melwood.
Meanwhile, City manager Pellegrini confirmed that Argentina international Sergio Aguero, who has scored 15 Premier League goals this season, is fit for the top-of-the-table clash.
“Sergio is OK; he worked all week with the squad normally, so he doesn’t have any problem.’ ‘It’s very important [to have Sergio back]. He’s a top player, it’s very difficult for their defence to stop him and so it’s very important for us,” Pellegrini told the media on Friday.
Leaders Liverpool are currently four points clear of third-placed City, although Pellegrini’s men have played two games less than the Reds.
