Sandro plays down rift with Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro insists he has no issue with Spurs manager Tim Sherwood
Sandro insists that he has no problem with Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood.
The 44-year-old claimed that Sandro wasn’t good enough to get in the Spurs side after the Brazilian took to Twitter following his omission for the 3-1 victory over Fulham earlier this month.
Sandro informed fans that he wasn’t injured after being left out of the squad and his tweet prompted Sherwood to give a withering assessment of the midfielder.
“I don’t think he’s good enough to be in the side at the minute, when he shows me he’s up to the level of the other players he’ll be back in the squad,” Sherwood said.
“I like Sandro as a player but he has to work hard to be back in the side.”
The 25-year-old has remained out of favour since that win at White Hart Lane, but Sandro insisted he has no issue with Sherwood.
“I respect him, I have nothing against him, let him speak,” Sandro told Lancenet.
“I will continue working quietly, I’m a professional. I have to work. Everyone loves me at Tottenham, it is my home.”
