Simon Mignolet has won points for Liverpool, insists Brendan Rodgers
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet hasn't cost the Reds points this season

Brendan Rodgers is adamant that goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has gained points for Liverpool this season.
The 25-year-old has been an ever-present in Rodgers’s starting line-up after being signed in a £9m deal to replace on-loan Pepe Reina in the summer transfer window.
The former Sunderland goalkeeper has enjoyed a good first season at Anfield, although Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar criticised the amount of goals the shot stopper has conceded.

But Liverpool manager Rodgers feels Mignolet has made a big contribution to the Reds’s title challenge and performed admirably after succeeding a club legend.
“I’ve been delighted with Simon since he has come in,” Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo.
“I think he’s an outstanding goalkeeper who is only going to get better and better.
“He has come into a huge club and replaced a legendary figure at the club in Pepe Reina.
“That was always going to take a bit of time.
“But over the course of the season he has made a big contribution. I don’t forget the significance of some of the saves he has made.
“Simon hasn’t ever cost us a game but he has certainly gained us points. He’s an excellent goalkeeper.
“His form has been very good and he has consistently made really crucial saves for us.”
