A Getafe fan has been caught employing a bizarre tactic to put off Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa in Getafe’s 2-0 loss on Sunday.

The Spain international was presented with the chance to score his 34th goal of the season from the spot in the second half but miscued his effort wide of the Getafe goal.

If Costa wasn’t already bummed out following his spot-kick miss, replays showed a cheeky Getafe supporter dropping his pants in a bid to put off the controversial 25-year-old striker.

Costa did eventually get on the score sheet in a 2-0 win against Getafe, but it came at a price as the Atletico talisman crashed into the woodwork as he finished from close range in the 84th minute.

The Atletico star had to be stretchered off following the collision, leaving his club and country fearing a long-term knee injury which could rule him out of the rest of the season and the World Cup.

However, there was good news for Atletico as Costa only suffered a deep gash to his leg following his clash with the Getafe goal.
