This doesn’t slip! Steven Gerrard’s rallying cry in Liverpool huddle
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is captured telling his Reds team-mates not to led their lead slip after beating Manchester City
Steven Gerrard was captured telling his Liverpool team-mates that their lead “doesn’t slip” after a 3-2 victory over Manchester City.
Brazil international Philippe Coutinho settled the potential title decider with 12 minutes remaining after he capitalised on a rare mistake by City captain Vincent Kompany.
This does not f*****g slip. We keep going.

David Silva and a Glen Johnson own goal had pulled the Citizens level after Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel put Liverpool 2-0 ahead inside the opening 26 minutes at Anfield.
33-year-old Liverpool captain Gerrard, who is yet to win the Premier League, delivered a rousing post-match speech as the Reds players huddled following the final whistle.
And Gerrard’s rallying cry was picked up by the television cameras after Liverpool moved seven points clear of the Citizens at the top of the table, with Chelsea still a point behind the Reds.
“This does not f*****g slip. We keep going. Listen! Listen! We go to Norwich. Exactly the same.”
The England international declined Geoff Shreeves’s offer to reveal what he had said to his team-mate in his post-match media interview with Sky Sports.
