Christian Eriksen has cast doubt over his Tottenham future by revealing that he has a “secret plan” for his career.

The Denmark international has been one of Spurs’ star performers this season, scoring seven goals and making six assists in 21 Premier League games.

Of course I have a dream and a secret plan in my head. But I keep it to myself

Eriksen recently insisted that he is happy at White Hart Lane and is keen to stay at the club even if they miss out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.

But the 22-year-old has now appeared to hint that he would be open to a move away from north London by admitting that he has a “dream” for his career, which he will keep to himself.

“I’m incredibly happy that [the fans] seem happy with me. I am very glad that they like what they see,” Eriksen told Ekstra Bladet.

“Of course I have a dream and a secret plan in my head. But I keep it to myself. Right now I live in the moment and enjoy the success I have.”
