Victor Moses: I knew Liverpool could win the title when I first joined
On-loan Victor Moses claims he knew Liverpool had the potential to win the league when he first arrived from Chelsea last summer
Victor Moses has claimed that he knew Liverpool were going to win the Premier League when he moved to Anfield last summer.
The Nigeria international is currently on a season-long loan at the Premier League leaders from their closest rivals Chelsea, who make the trip to the Reds on Sunday.
There is huge talent at this club, and I knew that this team could go far
Moses has played a bit-part role in Brendan Rodgers’s first team during the campaign, making six starts in the Premier League.
And the 23-year-old, who is set to return to the Blues in the summer, revealed how he was left impressed following his first training session at the club.
“When I first came here, I knew that Liverpool were going to win the league,” Moses is quoted as saying by Liverpool Echo. “Honest!
“Even when I spoke to the press, I said that we would win it. Just from seeing the way everyone trained, that first training session, and the games that I played in early on, I could see the quality that we have here.
“There is huge talent at this club, and I knew that this team could go far. We are in a position now where if we win the rest of our games, we will win the Premier League. That’s not a bad position to be in, is it?”
