Arsenal transfers: Wenger determined to keep hold of stars
Arsenal transfers: Arsene Wenger underlines his desire to keep his star players at the club beyond the summer

Arsene Wenger has underlined his desire to keep his star players at Arsenal this summer ahead of next season.
Bacary Sagna’s Gunners future remains in doubt, with the right-back yet to sign a new deal with the north London club despite being out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has also been linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium in the summer.
However, Wenger insists that Arsenal’s “big ambitions” for next season means that they are determined to hold onto their top names.
“We want the players to stay here because this club has big ambitions for the future,” said Wenger ahead of his side’s clash with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Wenger also praised his side for responding when under pressure to deliver this term.
“One of the ingredients we’ve had this season was to respond when everyone was writing us off,” he added.
“We missed some vital games this season but we have been remarkably consistent. Against the teams who did not fight for the Premier League title we’ve done our job.
“We had too many injuries in March and February and we always had to play the same players.”
