Ronnie Whelan has blasted Jose Mourinho’s disgraceful tactics after the Chelsea manager masterminded a 2-0 win at Anfield last Sunday.
The Blues dealt the Reds a devastating blow in their bid to win the Premier League title after a defensive-minded Chelsea scored at the end of each half on Merseyside.

Mourinho’s men have been heavily criticised for their time-wasting tactics in recent weeks against Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.
And former Liverpool midfielder Whelan, who won six top-flight titles, waded into the debate on the Chelsea manager’s recent antics.
“The way Chelsea won a game of football last weekend was a complete and utter disgrace.
“Jose Mourinho used the phrase ‘parking the bus’. I wouldn’t mind if that was all they did. To defend well is perfectly acceptable.
“It is the rest of it that I have a problem with – the time-wasting, players falling over and staying down when there was nothing wrong with them, the constant practice of four or five Chelsea players surrounding the referee every time a decision went against them.”
