Ogenyi Onazi admits that he would “jump at the chance” to join Liverpool this summer.

The Lazio midfielder, who has scored two goals in 28 Serie A games this season, has been touted as a possible target for both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.

And the 21-year-old Nigeria international has revealed that he would love to join the Merseyside club should the opportunity arise.

“Liverpool? They are a huge team and are attractive to any footballer,” Onazi is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

“I could see myself playing for them. I would jump at the chance.”

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers revealed last week that he is hoping to bring in at least six new players in the summer to bolster his squad.
