Ryan Giggs has revealed that Hull City boss Steve Bruce has been giving the Manchester United interim manager advice ahead of their clash on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old took charge of the Red Devils on a temporary basis last month after the 20-time English champions sacked Sir Alex Ferguson’s David Moyes.
Bruce and Giggs were United team-mates as the pair helped the Red Devils win three Premier League titles in four seasons at Old Trafford.
And Giggs, whose side suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Sunderland on Saturday, lifted the lid on conversations with his ex-United colleague.
“Will I take any notice of Brucie? I won’t on Tuesday night!” Giggs told United’s website.
“With Brucie, I spoke to him about picking the team. I said to the press that the hardest thing was leaving people out, so he gave me a bit of advice on that.”
