Mesut Ozil has underlined his desire to help Arsenal qualify for next season’s Champions League by beating West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The Gunners can book their place in Europe’s elite club competition by securing victory over the Baggies in north London this weekend.

Ozil has watched his former Real Madrid team-mates seal their spot in the Champions League final thanks to a commanding victory over holders Bayern Munich this week.

And the 25-year-old is determined to help steer the Gunners into next season’s competition.

“This week we could see the importance of the Champions League,” Ozil posted on his Facebook page.

“Another three points and no one can challenge our ranking in the top 4. We want to win on Sunday at all costs! #COYG #bpl #AFCvWBA”

Ozil scored Arsenal’s second goal as the Gunners beat Newcastle 3-0 at Emirates Stadium on Monday night.
