Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood disappointed by Frank de Boer reports
Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood is disappointed to see Frank de Boer linked with his Spurs job
Tim Sherwood admits he is disappointed by ongoing speculation surrounding the managerial position at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 45-year-old signed a deal until the end of the 2014/15 season in December after replacing Andre Villas-Boas.

However, Ajax manager Frank de Boer claimed this week that he had been approached to replace Sherwood, although Spurs deny the ex-defender’s claim.
“When clubs are coming out and saying Tottenham have actually spoken to them and managers are coming out and saying they’ve spoken to them too, it’s disappointing,” Sherwood told Sky Sports News.
“Somewhere along the line someone is telling porkies, I don’t know for sure.
“Tottenham are not making any comment on that until the season finishes. So I’m just carrying on as I normally do, being as professional as I can and preparing the team.”
Sherwood is taking heart from Tottenham’s recent run in the Premier League, which has seen Spurs collect 10 points from their 12 games.
“I’ve got two more games to go,” Sherwood added.
“We’ve had a good run recently. If we can get maximum points then we will get a record amount of points for Tottenham which is 72. It will just be a shame that we didn’t start the season any better.
“I just get on with it. There’s not a press conference I’ve done since I took over when another name hasn’t been mentioned.
“I’ve just got to get on with the job. The fans deserve that. In my opinion we’ve got one of the best fans nucleus in the country. We’ve got 40,000 fans waiting for a season ticket. It’s a huge club. They deserve a manager who will give 100 percent to the cause.”
