Arsenal duo respond to Germany’s draw with Ghana on Twitter

Lukas Podolski and Mesut Özil both tweet their thoughts after Germany are held to a World Cup draw by Ghana

Miroslav Klose became the joint-record scorer in World Cup history as he earned Germany a point against Ghana at Estadio Castelao on Saturday night.

Substitute Klose scored with his first touch in the second half after Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan had given Ghana a 2-1 lead following Mario Gotze’s opener.

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil played the full 90 minutes as his side were forced to settle for a point, while his club team-mate Lukas Podolski was an unused substitute.

Ozil wrote on his Facebook page: “What an intense match – hardly any power left to write something … #DFBTeam #WorldCup #Brasil2014”

And Podolski added: “Intensive game. Gotta stay focussed for the USA game. It s all up to us. #GERvsGHA #aha #poldi #worldcup #brazil”

The draw kept Germany top of Group G ahead of Portugal’s clash with USA on Sunday night.
