Mesut Ozil has hailed the “Arsenal power” at force in the World Cup after Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny helped France thrash Switzerland 5-2 on Friday night.

The Gunners striker broke the deadlock against the Swiss in Group E before les Bleus went on to score a further four goals thanks to Blaise Matuidi, Mathieu Valbuena, Karim Benzema and Moussa Sissoko.

And Germany international Ozil, who started his country’s 4-0 win against Portugal in their Group G opener, lavished praise on the Arsenal striker after Didier Deschamps’s men edged closer to qualification to last 16.
