Jackson Martinez is set to sign a new deal with Porto, according to the Arsenal target’s representative.

The 27-year-old forward was heavily linked with a January move to Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger sought to bolster his attacking options.

However, the Arsenal manager failed to strengthen his front-line during that transfer window, leading to renewed speculation linking the Colombia star with the Gunners this summer.

But the striker’s representative, Luis Henrique Pompeu, is expecting the Porto star to pen a new deal at the 2004 Champions League winners.

Pompeu told O Jogo: “Porto still wish to negotiate the renewal of Jackson.”

The Colombia international, who is currently on international duty at the World Cup, scored an impressive 20 goals in 30 league games after joining Porto from Chiapas in 2012.
