Former England striker Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) is calling on his own experience with the Three Lions as we all look for positives: “In 1988 we lost all 3 group games at the Euros. 2 years later we were a penalty kick away from reaching the World Cup final. #hope”
Boring James Milner (@BoringMilner): “I said to Roy that we haven’t worn our away kit yet. He said that’s a really good point, James but let’s worry about winning this game first”
QPR striker Charlie Austin (@chazaustin9) isn’t enjoying watching his country with their fate already decided: “Watching this England game and knowing we can’t go through is painful”

With, Ox, Walcott, Stones, Flanagan etc to come..given the license England could have an exciting future..but philosophy must be addressed..”
Finally, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge (@D_Sturridge) thanks the fans: “Homebound.. Honoured to play for England and hope to help bring some success. Love to my fans for the support.”
