Chelsea transfers: PSG admit defeat in Eden Hazard chase
Chelsea transfers: PSG boss Laurent Blanc admits that a move for Eden Hazard now looks unlikely
Paris Saint-Germain appear to have admitted defeat in their pursuit of Eden Hazard after Chelsea refused to sell the playmaker.
The Ligue 1 club have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 23-year-old playmaker, who scored 14 Premier League goals and made seven assists this season.
Hazard is a top player, but I think Chelsea want to keep him
PSG have already been successful in tempting the Blues into selling David Luiz this summer, but after manager Jose Mourinho insisted that Hazard is not for sale, Laurent Blanc admitted a move for the Belgian is now unlikely.
“Some players will ask to leave, we’ll have to see,” said Blanc. “For the moment, that’s not the case. We’re going to bring in some players, one or two, of great quality.
“Hazard is a top player, but I think Chelsea want to keep him. A lot of players are going to be mentioned, but we have already got our priority, David Luiz.
“We’re going to wait a bit before making any more signings. Be patient.”
