Colombia edged closer to a spot in the knockout stage of the World Cup after a 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast on Thursday.

James Rodriguez and Juan Quintero put Colombia into a commanding 2-0 lead, before former Arsenal striker Gervinho ensured a nervy finish with his second goal of the tournament 17 minutes from time.
