Liverpool transfers: ‘Luis Suárez would fire Spanish giants to La Liga title’
Liverpool transfers: Jody Morris believes next season's La Liga title race will be decided by who signs Luis Suárez this summer
Jody Morris believes next season’s tussle for the La Liga title will be decided by who wins the race to sign Luis Suarez this summer.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly preparing big-money bids for the Liverpool striker, who scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League games last season.
The 27-year-old has previously hinted at his interest in joining los Blancos, with the Champions League winners heavily linked with the forward last summer.
And former Chelsea midfielder Morris, who was part of the Blues side that lost 5-1 at Camp Nou in 2000, feels Suarez would fire Barca or Madrid to the title.

Earlier on Monday, former Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock claimed that Brendan Rodgers should be more concerned about losing Suarez than the Northern Irishman was last summer.
“His major problem is if Luis Suarez is now swallowed up by Real Madrid or Barcelona, because if he is, Liverpool will not be anywhere near the same team,” Warnock is quoted as saying.
“Like with Gareth Bale, when they want somebody they go out and get them. If I was Brendan I’d be more concerned than I was last summer.”
