Liverpool transfers: ‘Reds will struggle to get £60m for Luis Suarez’
Liverpool transfers: Dietmar Hamann wants the Reds to sell controversial Luis Suárez after the striker's latest biting incident

Dietmar Hamann wants Liverpool to sell Luis Suarez – but the former Germany midfielder reckons the Reds will struggle to fetch £60m for the troublesome striker.
The 27-year-old has been banned for nine games and for four months from any football-related activity by Fifa after being found guilty of biting Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s 1-0 victory over Italy on Wednesday.

Suarez, who scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, had been heavily linked with a big-money move to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
But Hamann reckons Suarez, who had been banned for a total of 17 games for previously biting two opponents, will struggle to command a transfer fee in the region of £60m-80m.
“He’s bitten someone three times now,” Hamann told TalkSport. “FIFA, with the ban they’ve given him, are saying, ‘this is your last chance, if you do it again, that’s it for good’.
“He’s a player that’s worth £60-80m. I’m not sure if they can get that sort of money now, but if this happens again it will finish his career. I wouldn’t take a punt on him. You can’t trust him.
“It’s time for Liverpool to get rid of him.”
