Divock Origi would shine in the Premier League as Liverpool continue to be linked with the striker, according to Jan Vertonghen.

The Reds are thought to be considering a bid for the 19-year-old Lille forward as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

And Tottenham defender Vertonghen believes that Origi has all the attributes needed to excel in the English top flight.

“He has the qualities to play for a good team in the Premier League and I think he shows it every game,” Vertonghen said.

“He has come on in every game, and he’s changed games for us.

“He has the qualities to go to a bigger league, but obviously with Lille playing in the Champions League we’ll see.”
