Manchester United signing Luke Shaw is hoping to learn from experienced France international Patrice Evra

Luke Shaw is excited to work with legend Patrice Evra after the Southampton left-back completed his £27m move to Manchester United.
The England left-back has agreed a four-year contract with United, with an option to extend for a further year after passing a medical at Carrington on Friday.
I think the main reason I’ve come here is because United want to win trophies and so do I. As a young lad, I aspired to win trophies

Shaw, whose fee could rise to £31m, is hoping to learn from the France international after being signed as Evra’s long-term successor at left-back.
“I’m really excited to be working with him. He’s been one of the best left-backs in the league for the last few years now and it’s something that I’m looking forward to, to be training with him. Hopefully, I can learn a lot from him,” Shaw told United’s website.
Shaw, who was part of Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the World Cup, expressed his desire to win trophies at the 13-time Premier League champions.
“It’s a great feeling,” added Shaw.
“It’s been going quite a long time and I’ve known for a number of weeks that United were interested in me. I was hoping it might have been done before the World Cup but it wasn’t and now I’m finally here, getting it done. I’m very pleased and can’t believe it has happened.
“Manchester United is the biggest club in the world and is always going to be up there with the best. I think the main reason I’ve come here is because United want to win trophies and so do I. As a young lad, I aspired to win trophies.”
