Arturo Vidal has fuelled the speculation linking him with a transfer to Manchester United by admitting that he “doesn’t know” if he will stay at Juventus beyond the summer.

The 27-year-old has been touted as a target for new United boss Louis van Gaal – who is a keen admirer of Vidal – as he looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of his debut campaign at Old Trafford.

And speaking after helping Chile beat Spain 2-0 at the World Cup to reach the last 16 of the tournament in Brazil, Vidal gave little away about his situation.

“Will I stay at Juventus? I don’t know,” Vidal, who has three years left on his contract with the Serie A side, told Tuttosport.

“I just think about the World Cup and the national team now. After the World Cup we will see what will be my future.”

Vidal scored 11 goals and made five assists in 32 Serie A games for Juventus this season.
