Man United transfers: Dinamo Moscow confirm a deal to sign full-back Alexander Büttner
Dinamo Moscow have agreed a deal with Manchester United to sign out-of-favour left-back Alex Büttner.
The former Netherlands Under-20 international has put pen to paper on a three-year deal to join the Russian outfit after struggling to have an impact at the 20-time English champions.
Dinamo have a very strong team and I believe we can fight for first place this season
The 25-year-old managed to rack up a disappointing 13 Premier League appearances in two seasons at Old Trafford, failing to dislodge long-serving left-back Patrice Evra.
New United manager Louis van Gaal has been linked with a move for Daley Blind in recent weeks, whilst Southampton youngster Luke Shaw is also a reported target.
And perhaps in a slight against his former club after a trophyless season, Büttner stated his desire to lift silverware at his new club.
“I want to play in the Champions League and win trophies,” Büttner told Dinamo Moscow’s website.
“Dinamo have a very strong team and I believe we can fight for first place this season.”
Büttner was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signings after completing a move from Vitesse Arnhem in 2012.
