Memphis Depay admits that he is aware the reported interest in his services from Manchester United – but insists he is only thinking about the World Cup.

The 20-year-old Netherlands winger has been touted as a potential target for new United boss Louis van Gaal as he looks to bolster his midfield options ahead his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

We are not talking about that kind of stuff. That is for after the World Cup.

But although the highly-rated PSV Eindhoven youngster is aware of the media speculation surrounding his future, he is determined to stay fully focused on the World Cup in Brazil.

“Of course I’ve read that Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are interested,” Depay told Algemeen Dagblad. “But no more than that.

“I’ll see later. My agent Kees Ploegsma is here [in Brazil] too, but we are not talking about that kind of stuff. That is for after the World Cup.”
