Man United transfers: ‘Red Devils still need four or five signings’
Man United transfers: Andy Cole says the Red Devils still need a further four or five signings this summer
Andy Cole believes Manchester United still need at least four new signings this summer if they are to challenge for the Premier League next season.
The Red Devils have snapped up Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw in recent days as Louis van Gaal prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
United finished seventh last season and will focus purely on domestic competitions next term as they look to break back into the top four.
And Cole reckons that United’s summer business is far from over.
Four or five,” Cole told the Daily Express when asked how many signings United need.
“Get those four or five in and I think they will win it.
“Why not? There’s a new manager in place, United will have a right go in the transfer market and however you look at it; Man City won the league last season but the season before United won it by 11 points. What does that say?”
“The Premier League does get harder and harder to win every year. So the players that Man United will be looking to bring in will be players that United think can win them the championship next season.
“And get themselves back in the European Cup which is a massive boost.”
