Tottenham transfers: Esteban Cambiasso is remaining coy on his next move amid reports Spurs are close to landing Argentine

Esteban Cambiasso is remaining tight-lipped on his future amid reports in the English media that the Argentine is set to complete a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 33-year-old midfielder, who will turn 34 in August, is currently a free agent after being released by Inter Milan at the end of the season.

Cambiasso has a rich pedigree in Italy after winning five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italias and the Champions during a decorated 10-year spell in Milan.

However, the former Real Madrid midfielder gave little insight into what he has planned next, as speculation linking him with Spurs intensifies.

“My career for the moment is still in Europe,” Cambiasso told FCInterNews.it.

“I have some proposals from big clubs, but I reserve the right to keep those negotiations secret.”

Cambiasso’s compatriot, Mauricio Pochettino, was appointed as Tottenham manager last month, although the pair never played together for their national team.
