It is the sixth day of the World Cup and Belgium are embarking on their Brazil journey as Marc Wilmots’s men face Algeria. The Belgians should have enough to see off the African side. Whilst Belgium are kicking off their campaign, Brazil face Mexico in their second Group A match. The hosts take on Mexico but have a good record against their opponents, winning two of their last three games. Finally, Fabio Capello’s Russia should have too much for South Korea. The Tipster is offering new Paddy Power customers *ENHANCED ODDS of 10/1 on Belgium, Brazil and Russia.
The Chelsea striker is fresh from another impressive Premier League campaign, although the 21-year-old spent the season at Everton this time around. Lukaku scored 15 goals as he terrorised Premier League defences – good luck Algeria! The Belgium striker scored four goals in his country’s three warm-up games, so the Blues man is in good form. The Tipster is backing Lukaku to score any time at 4/5.
Wilmots doesn’t just have a great attack, the Belgium manager is fortunate to boast an impressive defence too. Manchester City centre-half Vincent Kompany is joined by Tottenham Hotspur star Jan Vertonghen, with Manchester United target Thomas Vermaelen at left-back. Belgium conceded one goal in their three warm-up games so are in mean form. The Tipster feels the value here is Belgium to win to nil against Algeria at 5/4.
Barcelona forward Neymar, like Lionel Messi and Robin van Persie, lived up to the hype in his World Cup bout in Brazil. Neymar scored twice as the hosts were 3-1 winners against Croatia in their opening Group A game. Neymar scored as Luis Felipe Scolari’s men were 2-0 winners against Mexico in the Confederations Cup last summer. The Tipster is backing Neymar to score and Brazil to beat Mexico at evens.
Continuing the Neymar theme, the Tipster fancies the Barcelona forward to score first on Tuesday night. Neymar scored Brazil’s first goal in a 3-1 victory over Croatia on the opening night. Looking for value in this Group A clash, the Tipster feels Neymar to break the deadlock against Mexico is a good shout at very tempting odds of 7/2.
