Alexis Sánchez’s much-anticipated transfer to Arsenal has finally been confirmed – by the winger’s Barcelona-based hairdresser.

The Gunners are thought to be on the verge of signing the Chile international from Barcelona in a deal worth around £35m.

But despite there being no official confirmation of the transfer from either club, the 25-year-old’s personal barber took to Facebook to confirm that Sánchez has told him he is set to move to Emirates Stadium.

“Alexis Sánchez visited us to say goodbye. As reported, he’ll join Arsenal,” Carlos Moles wrote on his Facebook page.

Sánchez is reported to have agreed a deal with the Gunners worth around £150,000 a week and is set to pen a four-year contract.

The winger, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool, scored 19 goals and made 10 assists in 34 La Liga games for Barcelona last season.
