Arsenal transfers: Barcelona chief coy on Alexis Sánchez’s future
Arsenal transfers: Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta refuses to be drawn on Alexis Sánchez's future

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has refused to be drawn on the speculation linking Alexis Sánchez with a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners are believed to be leading the race to sign the 25-year-old striker as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the Barcelona forward, with a move to Anfield suggested as part of a possible deal involving Luis Suarez heading to Camp Nou.
However, Zubizarreta gave little away when asked about Sánchez’s future.
“There is nothing new to report,” said Zubizarreta.
“We will announce deals when they are done. Right now, we have two Chileans [Sánchez and Claudio Bravo] in our squad.”
Asked about the La Liga club’s summer transfer dealings, he added: “We are working towards building the best squad possible before the transfer window shuts and it’s positive that people [from Barcelona] are travelling [in order to complete deals] but it’s important that we only communicate official deals.
“When we have reached one, we will announce it.”
