Clement Grenier has fuelled the speculation linking him with a transfer to the Premier League by admitting that he could leave Lyon this summer.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who missed out on a place with France at the World Cup due to injury, has been touted as a target for both Arsenal and Newcastle United in recent weeks.

And the France international has revealed that he could leave the Ligue 1 club ahead of next season.

“You never know what can happen,” said Grenier. “I think first I have to prepare myself.

“I’m at Lyon, but I know that economic reasons may change that. If it happens then it will, in any case, be a decision made together.”

Grenier scored four goals and made five assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances for Lyon last season.
