Arsenal transfers: Kingsley Coman says he rejected advances from a host of Premier League clubs to join Juventus

Kingsley Coman has claimed that he rejected the advances of Arsenal and Tottenham to join Juventus this summer.

The 18-year-old signed for the Serie A club on a three-year contract this week after being released by Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

I have chosen Juventus because I love their history

And the highly-rated attacking midfielder has revealed that a host of Premier League clubs were interested in prising him away from Parc des Princes.

“There were Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham interested in me too,” Coman told Corriere dello Sport.

“But I have chosen Juventus because I love their history. This was the club of Platini, Zidane and Trezeguet.”

Juventus described Coman on their website as “predominantly right-footed, a technical and creative player blessed with extraordinary pace, long-range shooting ability and a unique vision to dictate the game”.
