Arsenal transfers: Kingsley Coman claims that he rejected the advances of the Gunners and Liverpool this summer

Kingsley Coman has claimed that he rejected the advances of Arsenal and Liverpool to join Juventus this summer.

The 18-year-old signed for the Serie A club on a three-year contract last week after being released by Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

I thought about it a lot. I had to take a decision regarding PSG

And the highly-rated attacking midfielder has revealed that a host of European and Premier League clubs were interested in prising him away from Parc des Princes.

“Juventus has a history with French players,” Coman told L’Equipe.

“Some of them did very good. So I told myself, why not me? I thought about it a lot. I had to take a decision regarding PSG.

“Then there was Arsenal, Liverpool, Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Bordeaux. I’ve hesitated a lot about Bordeaux and I talked with Willy Sagnol, I knew him from French U21 and he promised me playing time.

“But this process came a little too late. I was already thinking about Juve.”
