Alexis Sánchez is likely to join Liverpool ahead of Arsenal this summer, according to Perry Groves.

The Chile international has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Barcelona widely expected to sell the striker.

He’ll be part of the deal that takes Luis Suarez to Barcelona

Sánchez has been touted as a target for Arsenal as well as Liverpool, who could bring the forward to Anfield as part of a deal which sees Luis Suarez head in the opposite direction.

And former Arsenal man Groves reckons that the 25-year-old is most likely to secure a move to Merseyside this summer.

“Alex Sánchez would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal,” Groves told talkSPORT.

“He fits their remit. He’s very good technically and has an excellent attitude.

“I think he’ll go to Liverpool though. He’ll be part of the deal that takes Luis Suarez to Barcelona.”
