Arsenal transfers: Mario Balotelli's girlfriend posts picture of couple standing in front of Gunners badges
Mario Balotelli’s girlfriend appears to have inadvertently reignited the speculation linking the Italy striker with a transfer to Arsenal – by posting a picture of the couple in a Gunners-branded shop.
Arsenal had been strongly linked with a bid to sign the AC Milan forward this summer but a deal failed to materialise before Italy crashed out of the World Cup in the group stage.
Speculation surrounding the 23-year-old’s future had quietened down in recent days but Fanny Neguesha’s Instagram post of the duo standing in front of two Arsenal badges at what appears to be a Puma shop is sure to spark a whole new flurry of rumours.
Balotelli is sponsored by Puma, who are also Arsenal’s kit supplier.
Speaking last month, Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola was forced to deny reports he had held talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger over a possible move.
“Mario has a contract with Milan, the club called me and he is non-transferable,” Raiola told RaiSport. “I have not been in Brazil and I have never met Wenger.”
Former Manchester City striker Balotelli scored 18 goals in 41 appearances for AC Milan last season.
