Arsenal transfers: Maximilian Arnold ‘dreams’ of Gunners move

Arsenal transfers: Wolfsburg midfielder Maximilian Arnold says he "dreams" of playing for the Gunners in the future

Maximilian Arnold has admitted that he dreams of playing for Arsenal in the future – but has ruled out a switch to north London this summer.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has three years remaining on his current Wolfsburg deal, is one of the hottest properties in the Bundesliga after scoring seven goals and making two assists in 28 appearances last season.

I am a player of Wolfsburg and I am happy to be a part of this team

Arnold’s high level of performances despite his tender years have inevitably led to interest from outside Germany, including Arsenal and Juventus.

However, the Germany international is content to remain at Wolfsburg before moving onto a new challenge in future years.

“Of course the likes of Juventus and Arsenal are clubs you dream about as a child,” Arnold is quoted as saying.

“But I am on just 36 Bundesliga appearances. If I was on 150, then it might be different.
