Arsenal transfers: Midfielder Mikel Arteta insists that he wants to stay at the north London club
Mikel Arteta has held talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger about his future and underlined his desire to stay at Emirates Stadium.
The 32-year-old Spaniard has been linked with a Fiorentina and Athletic Bilbao in recent weeks as he enters the final year of his Gunners contract.

However, the former Everton midfielder insists he is happy at the north London club.
“I can’t stop the rumours, but what I am certain is that I’m really happy here, I feel valued, I have been given a lot of responsibility and I like it,” said Arteta.
“Until they think something different about me, I’m happy.
“I had a conversation with the manager. He knows my opinion and we’re fine.”
Arteta, who joined Arsenal from Everton back in 2011, made 31 Premier League appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side last season, scoring two goals.
