Arsenal transfers: ‘Sami Khedira move will come down to money’
Arsenal transfers: Tony Cascarino believes that Sami Khedira's destination this summer will be decided by money
Tony Cascarino believes that Sami Khedira’s potential transfer to Arsenal or Chelsea this summer will come down to money.
The Germany international has been linked with both of the London clubs in recent days as the 27-year-old enters the final year of his Real Madrid contract.
It might come down to money, whether he goes to Arsenal or Chelsea
Arsenal were thought to be on the verge of clinching a £19.8m deal for the midfielder but reports in Thursday’s media suggest that Chelsea are now firmly in the race for his signature.
And former Chelsea striker Cascarino feels that the midfielder’s destination could end up being decided by the bottom line.
“Khedira’s move will come down to the two London clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“Whoever buys him is getting a fine player. He’s someone who can do something a little bit different.
“It might come down to money, whether he goes to Arsenal or Chelsea. That will make up his mind.
“He’s only got one year left on his contract and he’s just trying to see what’s available.”
