Arsenal transfers: Sergie Aurier’s agent is expecting summer move
Arsenal transfers: Serge Aurier's agent expects the right-back to complete a summer move away from Toulouse
Serge Aurier is hoping his World Cup performance will have earned the Ivory Coast right-back a summer move, according to his agent.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a bid to bring the right-back to Emirates Stadium following Bacary Sagna’s departure to Manchester City earlier this summer.
His performances may also justify, given the teams interested in his profile, the consequent fee Toulouse are demanding for the transfer
The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international fuelled speculation linking him with the Gunners last month when he admitted that it would be hard to turn down a move to Arsenal.
And Aurier’s agent Stephane Courbis is tipping the Ivorian to complete a move away from Toulouse this summer amid interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.
“To Serge, this exhibition was an opportunity to demonstrate to interested clubs he has the capacity to evolve to the next level,” Courbis said.
“He has not played Champions League or Europa League. This was the opportunity for him to strike a blow and to highlight.
“His performances may also justify, given the teams interested in his profile, the consequent fee Toulouse are demanding for the transfer.”
