Ashley Cole is relishing a “new challenge” after completing a move to Roma on Monday.

The 33-year-old experienced left-back has signed a two-year deal with the Serie A runners-up after passing a medical at the Rome outfit.

Cole spent a combined 16 years at Arsenal and Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups, the Champions League, the Europa League and League Cup.

And the former England international took to his Twitter account to confirm the move and thank his fans for their support on the social media site.

Cole seven goals in 338 appearances for the Blues following a controversial switch from Arsenal in 2006.
