Jose Mourinho says Chelsea’s summer spending is complete after the signing of left-back Filipe Luis from Atletico Madrid on Friday.

The defender is the Blues’ fourth new player to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer after midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Mario Pasalic and striker Diego Costa.

We got exactly what we need and what we want. The squad is one which I like very much

The west London club have been linked with a number of other players in recent days, including Germany midfielder Sami Khedira and Monaco forward Radamel Falcao.

However, Blues boss Mourinho has revealed that he does not plan to bring in any other reinforcements ahead of the new season.

“We finished the market today,” said Mourinho. “The transfer market closes 31 August and we close on 19 July.

“My club did a fantastic job, not just because of what we bought, but because we did it in almost record time.

“The club did fantastic, we knew the targets, we knew the players and the club attacked them and their clubs at a very early stage.

“We got exactly what we need and what we want. The squad is one which I like very much and I look forward to starting the season.”
