John Terry has revealed his delight at Chelsea’s signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona this summer.

The Blues snapped up the Spain international from Barcelona for £27m on a five-year deal last month after Arsenal turned down the chance to re-sign their former captain.

And Chelsea captain Terry was thrilled to see the 27-year-old secure a transfer to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

“He’s a very good signing,” Terry told Chelsea’s official magazine.

“He is great on the ball, a great box-to-box player, he scores an awful lot of goals as well and he has got an aggressive streak in him too – I certainly remember that from his Arsenal days.

“I’m sure he is going to fit in really well at Chelsea and do well in the years to come.”
