Juan Mata can’t wait for start of ‘new era’ at Man United
Juan Mata reveals his excitement at the start of a "new era" at Manchester United under new boss Louis van Gaal
Juan Mata has revealed his excitement at the start of a “new era” at Manchester United following Louis van Gaal’s appointment as manager.
The 62-year-old Dutchman officially took charge at Old Trafford last week after being chosen as David Moyes’ successor on a three-year contract.
I’m really happy with the manager’s style of football
And Mata, who joined the Red Devils from Chelsea back in the January transfer window, has set his sights on winning silverware under his new manager.
“It’s the start of a new era for the club, with a new manager and players coming in,” Mata, 26, told MUTV.
“I’m really happy with the manager’s style of football and hopefully at the end of the season we can celebrate something, which would be amazing for him and for us.”
“We’re focused on improving and trying to learn from the manager, to play at our best level during the season. The main idea is to play as a team and compete for titles.”
