Everton should take their number nine shirt off Arouna Kone and give it to new signing Romelu Lukaku, according to Jamie Carragher.

The 21-year-old Belgium international has signed a five-year deal with the Toffees after completing a £28m move to Goodison Park on Wednesday.

Lukaku, who scored 15 Premier League goals during a season-long loan at the Blues last season, has been handed the number 10 shirt.

However, Liverpool legend Carragher feels Everton should have taken the No9 shirt off Ivorian Kone and given it to their club-record signing.
