Liverpool target Marco Reus congratulates Germany on their World Cup triumph after missing the tournament due to injury
Marco Reus has taken to Twitter to congratulate his Germany team-mates on their World Cup final triumph.
Reus, who has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Liverpool in recent days, was forced to miss Germany’s World Cup campaign after picking up an ankle injury in a warm-up game ahead of the tournament.
However, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder refused to wallow in self-pity after being denied his Brazil dream, taking to social media to hail Germany’s 1-0 win against Argentina in the final on Sunday.
And 25-year-old Rues reserved special praise for his former Dortmund team-mate Mario Gotze, who scored the winning goal in the 113th minute in Rio.
Congratulation to the whole Team! Your Dream has Come true! And Thanks to my bro for your gesture:) Believe pic.twitter.com/Cgb6xeDq8T

Liverpool have been linked with a big-money move for Reus after selling Luis Suarez to Barcelona in a £75m deal on Friday.
Reus has scored 30 goals in 62 Bundesliga appearances since moving to Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2012.
