Liverpool transfers: Luis Muriel insists he won't leave Udinese in the summer transfer window
Luis Muriel has ruled out leaving Udinese in the summer transfer window.
The Colombia striker has been heavy linked with a move to Liverpool and Roma, whilst Manchester United were reported to be monitoring the Udinese man in the past.
Muriel scored four goals and made one assist in 24 Serie A appearances last season, although 10 of those came from the bench.
And the 23-year-old, who wasn’t part of Colombia’s World Cup squad, reiterated that he is planning to stay at Udinese.
“We start again (pre-season training),” Muriel said on his Instagram account. “I want to thank Udine and Udinese for giving me so many years of joy and just a few disappointments.
“I wish to remain here at Udinese. This club has always believed in me and it’s here where I want to establish myself as a player.
“I return to train with a lot of enthusiasm and will. With the help of my team-mates, I hope we can give the fans a lot of joy this coming season.”
